Siphumelele Zondi has always had the struggle of balancing a full time broadcast journalism career with full time university studies. He is the creator, show producer and anchor of a TV show called Network on SABC News, DSTV 404. He is also senior producer of other programmes at the station. Zondi studied journalism at the Durban University of Technology where he was named Top Online Journalism Student receiving further awards for feature writing and news writing. During his time there he would read news on radio for a short term license station, Lovelife FM,and later moved to commercial radio station Gagasi 99,5FM where he stayed for just under a year before moving to Gauteng to continue with his Bachelor of Technology in Journalism studies at the Tshwane University of Technology.
Siphumelele has also worked for CNBC Africa and e-TV. He has also lectured broadcast journalism at the Tshwane University of Technology.
Siphumelele holds a Master of Arts in Media and Cultural Studies from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom where he was awarded the Commonwealth Chevening Scholarship for future leaders. He is also an EVA Junior Business Fellow in Finland and has done a Foreign Correspondents Programme in Helsinki, Finland.
Tshepo Tshabalala holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hon) in Journalism and Media degree from the University of the Witwatersrand. He also has a National Diploma in Journalism from the Tshwane University of Technology where he was named the top journalism student. He currently works for Business Day (BDlive) and Financial Mail websites. He previously worked for the African edition of Forbes Magazine and having written a monthly column in the publication where he makes sense of the finances.
Tshepo has also worked for British news agency, Thomson Reuters. He is the former news editor for Wits University run community radio station, Voice of Wits (VOWFM). Tshepo has also worked in the media office for Infront Sports as the Fifa Broadcasting Servicing Team's Assistant Manager at Loftus Versfeld Stadium during Africa’s World Cup.
